    Question about a Hadith being labelled Gharib

    Question I wanted to enquire with regards to people of the same age narrating at the same level, like in the Hadith about intention. I have read that below Sayyiduna ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu), three Tabi’un have narrated that Hadith. Will it still be called gharib or will all the Tabi’in be considered from one tabaqah?

    Meaning of the words: Sanad and Isnad

    Question What is the difference between Sanad and Isnad? Am I right in assuming that Sanad refers to the names of people mentioned in the chain, whereas Isnad refers to mentioning/writing the full chain along with how the rawi received ijazah such as Haddathana or Akhabarana?
