Question
I have seen many Hadiths which mention that those who are deprived of the good of Laylatul Qadr are deprived of all good.
Is this referring to people who choose to be deprived on this great night by not carrying out good deeds?
Answer
Yes. This certainly does also refer to those who are deprived by not carrying out good deeds, so much so that they don’t even offer ‘Isha and Fajr in congregation on these blessed nights.
(Refer: Mirqatul Mafatih, Hadith: 1962)
However, it should be noted that there could be other reasons too for deprivation on that night.
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
