Be concerned with yourself when four things occur

Is there any Hadith together with its authenticity which says:

Start thinking about yourself and not people when four things happen to pass;

2) People following their desire

3) People stubborn/proud about their view

4) People giving priority of Dunya over Din Read More »

The curse of Sayyiduna Sa’id ibn Zayd (radiyallahu’anhu)

I came across in a lecture that a woman (by name of Asma) got into a land dispute with Sayyiduna Sa’id Ibn Zayd (radiyallahu’anhu) regarding a piece of land. Eventually Sayyiduna Sa’id Ibn Zayd (radiyallahu’anhu) relented and even though he believed it was his land, he let Asma have the land but he made a du’a to Allah that if she was of the liars and making false claims then she should die on the very land she has falsely taken from Sayyiduna Sa’id Ibn Zayd (radiyallahu’anhu). Eventually, the woman fell into a well in that very land she obtained. Could you please quote the full narration/story(because I might have missed some points) from beginning to end with the source and authenticity?

Do not waste water, even at the riverbank

Is this Hadith authentic?

The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) passed by Sa’d (radiyallahu ‘anhu) when he was performing ablution, and he said: ‘What is this extravagance?’ He said: ‘Can there be any extravagance in ablution?’ Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: ‘Yes, even if you are on the bank of a flowing river.'”

Our Nabi’s (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) generosity

Is there a Hadith which states:

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) received a garment from someone. When he wore it and came out, someone from the Sahabah (radiyallahu ‘anhum) saw him and he asked Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) for it. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) immediately went to his house, wore his old clothes and gave the Sahabah (radiyallahu ‘anhum) the new one. The Sahabah (radiyallahu ‘anhum) reprimanded the other Sahabi (radiyallahu ‘anhu) who asked for Nabi’s (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) new dress because Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would never deny someone’s request. The Sahabi (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said that he had his own reason, to shroud himself in that piece of cloth when he passed away.

The complexion of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)

When our Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) is described as having fair or white skin does this mean that it was literally white or would this indicate a light brown skin color? I have read in many narrations the word white but this does not make sense to me as the Arabs originally were a brown people ranging from light brown to dark brown or black. Read More »

Shaykh ‘Awwamah’s answer on Hadithus Sayhah fi Ramadan

What is the ruling of the following Hadith?

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “There will be a thudding/crashing sound in Ramadan that will awaken [even] one who is asleep and terrify the one who is awake. Then there will appear a group in Shawwal, then wars in Dhul Hijjah. Thereafter prohibitions will be violated in Muharram, followed by death in Safar, then the tribes will conflict with each other in [the months of] Rabi’. The most amazing [thing will happen] between Jumada and Rajab. Then a laden she-camel will be better than palaces consisting of one hundred thousand.”

Explanation of the word ‘istidraj’

Please provide the authenticity and commentary of the narration below:

In a Hadith narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir (radiyallahu ‘anhu), Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

إذا رأيت الله تعالى يعطي العبد من الدنيا ما يحب وهو مقيم على معاصيه فإنما ذلك منه استدراجا

“When you see that Allah Ta’ala gives a person (material) things of the worldly life which he desires whilst he remains persistent in sinning, then [know] that it is only Istidraj from Allah Ta’ala.
