Dreams seen during the last portion of the night

Question

Kindly provide me with the grading of the following Hadith:

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) has said: The truest of dreams are [those that are seen] in the last portions of the night [i.e. very early in the morning just before true dawn].

Punishment of the grave

Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) has narrated: “I asked Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) about the torment of the grave, and he said: ‘Yes, the torment of the grave is real.’”

Kindly provide the reference and authenticity of the following Hadiths:

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) is reported to have mentioned that: “The reward of 700 years of worship will be recorded for that person who fasts on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays of the sacred months [of Rajab, Zil Qa’dah, Zil Hajjah and Muharram.]

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) is also reported to have mentioned that a reward equal to two years of worship will be recorded for that person for each of the three days (i.e. Thursday, Friday and Saturday) of fasting during these sacred months. Read More »

Palaces of gold for the one who forgives the injustice against him on the Day of Qiyamah

Question

Is the following Hadith authentic?

Sayyiduna Anas (radiyallahu ‘anhu) has reported that on the Day of Judgement, there will be two people in front of Allah. One person from them will say: “O Allah, my brother has done injustice to me, so put my sin on his shoulder.

Allah Ta’ala will say to that person: “Lift your head and look inside Jannah [heaven].”

The person will say: “I can see a city of gold and palaces of gold.”

Allah Ta’ala will then say to that person: “If you forgive your brother you can be the owner of that.”

Question

Kindly explain the meaning of the word مُلَبِّدًا in the following Hadith:

عن عبدالله بن عباس رضي الله عنه: أنَّ رَجُلًا وَقَصَهُ بَعِيرُهُ وَهو مُحْرِمٌ مع رَسولِ اللهِ ﷺ: فأمَرَ به رَسولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُغْسَلَ بماءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَلا يُمَسَّ طِيبًا وَلا يُخَمَّرَ رَأْسُهُ، فإنَّه يُبْعَثُ يَومَ القِيامَةِ مُلَبِّدًا.

Kindly provide the translation for the following portion of the Hadith:

لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ، وَسَعْدَيْكَ، والْخَيْرُ بيَدَيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ، والرَّغْباءُ إِلَيْكَ والْعَمَلُ

عن عبدالله بن عمر رضي الله عنه: أنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كانَ، إِذا اسْتَوَتْ به راحِلَتُهُ قائِمَةً عِنْدَ مَسْجِدِ ذِي الحُلَيْفَةِ، أَهَلَّ فَقالَ: لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ، لَبَّيْك، لَبَّيْكَ لا شَرِيكَ لكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إنَّ الحَمْدَ، والنِّعْمَةَ، لكَ والْمُلْكَ، لا شَرِيكَ لَكَ. قالوا: وَكانَ عبدُ اللهِ بنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عنْهما يقولُ: هذِه تَلْبِيَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ. قالَ نافِعٌ: كانَ عبدُ اللهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عنْه يَزِيدُ مع هذا: لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ، وَسَعْدَيْكَ، والْخَيْرُ بيَدَيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ، والرَّغْباءُ إِلَيْكَ والْعَمَلُ.

Speaking a white lie in an attempt to reconcile between people

Question

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) has said: ‘The one who attempts to reconcile between people and speaks good (in order to avert dispute), or conveys good is not a liar.’

Ibn Shihab (rahimahullah) said: “I did not hear that concession/exemption was granted in any lies that the people speak except in three cases: [in] war, reconciling between people, and the dialogue of a husband with his wife, and a wife with her husband [i.e vice versa].
