Is this Hadith authentic?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Knowledge will be acquired for purposes other than the Din”

 

Answer

This is part of a longer Hadith wherein Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) explained the signs of Qiyamah. Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith. The Hadith is suitable to quote.
