The Weight of the deeds of the Sahabah (radiyallahu’anhu)

Is the following narration sahih, and is it true the Prophet (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said this to Khalid ibn Walid (radiyallahu’anhu) after a dispute with ‘Abdur Rahman ibn Awf (radiyallahu’anhu)?

“Do not curse my Companions! Do not curse my Companions! I swear by Him in Whose hand my life is that, even if one among you had as much gold as Mount Uhud and spent it in the way of Allah, this would not be equal in reward to a few handfuls (1 Mudd) of them or even to half of that.”

“The example of a miser and the one who spends is the example of two men chain-mail from their chest to their collar bones. When the spender spends, his shirt expands over his body until it covers his fingertips and [becomes so long that it] obliterates his footsteps. Sayyiduna ‘Abdur Rahman ibn Samurah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that once Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) came out to us and said:

“Last night I saw a marvelous dream. I saw a man from my Ummah and the Angel of Death approached him to take his soul, but the man’s obedience to his parents came and kept the Angel at bay.’ ‘Thereafter I saw a man from my Ummah subjected to the torment of the grave but then his ablution came and rescued him from it.’ ‘Then I saw a man from my Ummah surrounded by devils, then his remembrance of Allah came to him and delivered him from their midst.’ ‘Then I saw a man from my Ummah who was surrounded by the Angels of torment, but his Salah came to him and rescued him from their hands.’

Are these Hadiths sahih?

1. On the Day of Resurrection, the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for all people who perform the five daily salah, fast in the month of Ramadan, pay zakat, and refrain from major sins. They will enter it through whichever gate they wish. (Hakim)

2. All the gates of Paradise will be opened to him who performs the five daily salah, who fasts in Ramadan, who gives the zakat, and who abstains from seven major sins. It will be said to him, “Enter it peacefully and safely.” (Nasai)

Reciting Durud, an alternative to giving sadaqah (charity)

What is the authenticity of the following narration?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

That person who is not able to give sadaqah should say the following durud in his du’a:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ وَصَلِّ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ

‘Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin ‘abdika wa rasulika wa salli ‘alal mu’minina  wal mu’minat wal muslimina wal muslimat’

and this would become his Sadaqah’ (charity)

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) also said:

‘A Believer is never satisfied from doing (never tires from doing) good until he reaches Jannah’

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)’s advice to Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu)

Question

Can you please tell me if this Hadith is found in any of the Hadith books. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said to Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu):

“O ‘Ali, Give four thousand dinar in sadaqah daily, read a whole Quran daily, pay the price of Jannah daily, make peace between two fighting persons daily.

Sayyiduna  ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said, ‘O Rasulullah, that is difficult for me. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) told him, recite Surah Fatihah four times before sleeping, you will get the reward of giving four thousand dinar in sadaqah, recite Surah Ikhlas thrice before sleeping, you will receive the reward of reading the entire Quran, recite ‘La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la sharika lah lahul mulku wa lahul hamd yuhyi wa yumit wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir ten times before sleeping, You have secured your place in Jannah. Recite Astaghfirullah ten times before sleeping, you will be rewarded for making peace between two fighting persons.
