Question

Can you explain tashrih of this Hadith:

Answer

The entire Hadith reads as follows:

For the purpose of understanding, the above will be translated and explained in two parts.

1) The souls are a collective.

That is, when our souls were first created, they were gathered together.

2) Whichever of them find commonality will have affinity, and whichever of them do not find commonality will differ.

In other words, our relationships in this world are a result of the grouping in which our souls were gathered initially. One is easily connected to a fellow human with whose soul his was gathered at the time of their creation, and vice versa.

The above is one of a few explanations for this narration.
