Question

Please provide the reference for this Hadith:

“There is nothing weightier than good character on the day of Judgement on the scales of a Believer, and Allah dislikes the obscene and lewd person”

 

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abud Darda (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2002, declared authentic –hasanun sahih– by Imam Tirmidhi)
