Kindly provide the exact reference and number for this narration:

عن يعلى بن أمية رضي الله عنه قال: إني لأمكث في المسجد الساعة، وما أمكث إلا لأعتكف

Sayyiduna Ya’la ibn Umayyah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said: “Sometimes I sit in the Masjid for an hour, for no other reason but i’tikaf [optional i’tikaf]

 

Answer

Imam ‘Abdur Razzaq As San’ani (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration. The narration is suitable to quote.

(Musannaf ‘Abdur Razzaq, Hadith: 8006. Also see: Fathul Bari, before Hadith: 2025, vol. 4, pg. 272)

(٨٠٠٦) – عن ابن جريج قال: سمعت عطاء، يخبر، عن يعلى بن أمية قال: «إني لأمكث في المسجد الساعة، وما أمكث إلا لأعتكف» قال: وحسبت أن صفوان بن يعلى أخبرنيه.

فتح الباري: (٤/ ٢٧٢، قبل رقم: ٢٠٢٥)
وروى عبد الرزاق عن يعلى بن أمية الصحابي إني لأمكث في المسجد الساعة وما أمكث إلا لأعتكف واتفقوا على فساده بالجماع حتى قال الحسن والزهري من جامع فيه لزمته الكفارة.
