Question

Is it correct to say that majority of the Ambiya (‘alayhimus salam) were sent to Muslims who had gone astray e.g., The people of Nuh (‘alayhis salam) after the floods, the Banu Israel to whom many Ambiya were sent.

Answer

This is perfectly accurate regarding the Bani Israil as explained by Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) under Hadith: 3455 of Sahih Bukhari.

The apparent understanding of several verses of the Quran also support this observation regarding other Prophets and their nations.
