Is this narration authentic?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Allah Ta’ala has placed the truth (haqq) on the tongue and heart of ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu)”

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) and others have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhuma)

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3682)

Imam Tirmidhi has declared the Hadith as sound (hasan. – Some editions of Tirmidhi have Hasanun Sahih-) and Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith as authentic (sahih).

Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has also recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
