    Another du’a when wearing new clothes

    Question Is it Sunnah also to recite the following du’a for wearing new clothes? The du’a is mentioned in Mishkat. اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ كَسَوْتَنِيهِ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِهِ وَخَيْرِ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ، وَشَرِّ مَا صُنِعَ لَهُ Allahumma lakalhamdu anta kasawtanihi asaluka min khayrihi wa khayri ma suni’a lahu wa’audhubika min sharrihi wa sharri ma suni’a lahu

    Eating on a raised platform

    Question How did Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa salam) take his meals on the floor? i.e, the food was on the floor or how was it? Can the following be regarded as sunnah or in conformity to Sunnah: a person eats whilst seated on the floor and his food on a raised table approximately 60 cm above the ground.

    Translation of a brief, but comprehensive hadith on salvation
