Question

Is this narration authentic?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“If one of you asks then he should ask in abundance for he asks his Rabb”

Answer

Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith and has declared the Hadith authentic.

Sayyidatuna ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When one of you asks [Allah for his needs], then he should ask in abundance, for he is asking his Rabb [whose treasures are unlimited].'”

(٨٨٩) – أخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان، قال: حدثنا محمود بن غيلان، قال: حدثنا أبو أحمد الزبيري، قال: حدثنا سفيان، عن هشام بن عروة، عن أبيه، عن عائشة، قالت: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «إذا سأل أحدكم فليكثر، فإنه يسأل ربه».

السراج المنير: (١/ ١١٦)
 (حم خد هب) عن أبي هريرة وهو حديث حسن (إذا تمنى أحدكم فليكثر فإنما يسأل ربه) قال العلقمي والمعنى إذا سأل الشخص الله حوائجه فليكثر فإن فضل الله كثير (طس) عن عائشة قال الشيخ حديث حسن.
