What is meant by “Mukhadram” in this post?
Answer
A Mukhadram refers to one (Muslim) who did not meet Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) despite living during the era of Jahiliyyah (the pre- Islamic age) as well as the Prophetic era.
This applies equally whether he accepted Islam during the lifetime of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) or after that.
For example: Sayyiduna Uwais ibn ‘Amir al-Qarani (rahimahullah).

(٣٠٣) – المخضرمون من التابعين: هم الذين أدركوا الجاهلية، وحياة رسول الله – صلى الله عليه وسلم – وأسلموا، ولا صحبة لهم، واحدهم مخضرم – بفتح الراء – كأنه خضرم أي قطع عن نظرائه الذين أدركوا الصحبة وغيرها.
شرح نخبة الفكر:
(١١٣) – وبقي بين الصحابة والتابعين طبقة اختلف في إلحاقهم بأي القسمين، وهم المخضرمون «من» الذين أدركوا الجاهلية والإسلام، ولم يروا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
