Is it Sunnah to move into a new residence on a Wednesday? Is there a specific day in the Sunnah that is preferred?
Answer
I have not come across any Hadith recommending Wednesday, or any other particular day, for moving into a new home. Some ‘Ulama have preferred commencing Islamic study on a Wednesday, based on the broader meaning of certain narrations, as explained in our answer here.
However, this does not establish a specific Sunnah of moving into a new home on that day.
