Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would send the old and feeble to Mina early

Question

Kindly help in locating this Hadith with brief explanation. The gist of the Hadith is as follows:

“Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) sent Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma) with the women of his family, he sent them ahead to Mina from Muzdalifah. They performed Fajr Salah at Mina.”

 

Answer

This Hadith is recorded in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, and is therefore authentic.

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 1677-1678, Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1293)

 

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) had permitted the weak, feeble and excused to leave Muzdalifah earlier as to avoid the crowds.
