Question

I am searching for the reference of this statement:

“If you wish for Allah to continue granting you what you love, then continue doing what He loves” – Imam Ahmad

Hafiz Ibn Kathir (rahimahullah) has cited this statement of Imam Ahmad ibn Hambal (rahimahullah).

Ibrahim al Harbi (rahimahullah) stated that he heard Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah) say: “If you desire for Allah to keep granting you what you love, then persevere in doing what He loves.”
