Question

‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) states: “Whosoever recites Surah Ikhlas 1000 times on the day of ‘Ashura (10th of Muharram), Allah Ta’ala will look at him with mercy, and the one whom Allah looks at, He will never punish him.”

Answer

This narration appears in Shi’i books. I have not come across it in authentic sources.

The narration is not suitable to quote.

فصل فيما نذكره من فضل قراءة (قل هو الله أحد) في يوم عاشوراء روي عن الصادق عليه السلام أنه قال: من قرأ يوم عاشوراء الف مرة سورة الاخلاص، نظر الرحمان إليه، ومن نظر الرحمان إليه لم يعذبه ابدا.

وسائل الشيعة- من كتب الشيعة-:
علي بن موسى بن طاووس في كتاب (الاقبال) عن الصادق عليه السلام أنه قال: من قرأ يوم عاشوراء ألف مرة سورة الاخلاص نظر الرحمن إليه ومن نظر الرحمن إليه لم يعذبه أبدا.
