Is this suitable to quote?

إذا تثاءب أحدكم وهو يقرأ القرآن فليسكت، ولا يقل هاها وهو يقرأ

Answer

Imam Abu ‘Ubayd al Qasim ibn Sallam (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration as the statement of the Tabi’i; ‘Ikrimah mawla ibn ‘Abbas. The narration is suitable to quote.

‘Ikrimah (rahimahullah) said: “If one of you yawns while reciting Quran then he should remain silent [i.e., stop reciting] and not say “Ha” [i.e., The sound that emanates when yawning]

(Fadailul Quran: 130)
