Question
Is there is any salutation [durud] one can recite for barakah in sustenance?
Answer
I have not come across any specific form of durud in Hadith for barakah in sustenance.
Under the benefits of salutations, ‘Allamah ibn Qayyim Al Jawziyyah (rahimahullah) has mentioned it to be a means of alleviating poverty [salutations in general, no specific form].
Imam Abu Nu’aym (rahimahullah) has recorded a weak narration which states, ‘Abundant dhikr and salutations upon me repels poverty…’
(Ma’rifatus Sahabah, Hadith: 3572, Jala-ul Afham, pgs. 219-220 and 230, Al Qawlul Badi’, pg. 279)
‘Allamah Sakhawi (rahimahullah) has cited an incident from history, wherein salutations was a cause for barakah in sustenance.
(Al Qawlul Badi’, pg. 276-277)
Note: Making salam, reciting salutations and Surah Ikhlas when entering home is also reported as a means of barakah in sustenance. See here.
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
