Sufyan (rahimahullah) said: “Were it not for Allah’s concealment [of our faults], no one would sit with us.”

Answer

Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahullah) has recorded this statement of Imam Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah (rahimahullah).

Imam Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah (rahimahullah) said: “Had Allah not veiled our faults, none would associate with us.”

(Shu’abul Iman: 4203)
