Question
Can you share the narration where the Sahaba (radiyallahu’anhum) were laughing at ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu’anhu) when he was trapped in a tree, and the Prophet (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said something to the nearest meaning “that his legs are the size of Uhud”
Answer
Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu’anhu) reports that once he was cutting miswak from a tree and due to his thin [weak] shins the wind began to sway him. The Sahabah (radiyallahu’anhum) began to laugh.
Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) enquired the reason for their laugh to which they replied: ‘O Nabi Of Allah, because of his thin shins.
Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said: ‘By the oath of Allah, they will be more heavier on the scales than mount Uhud [on the day of Qiyamah].’
