Question

What is the status of this Hadith?

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“…When a person whom Allah Ta’ala hates makes du’a, Allah says, ‘O Jibril, fulfill his need quickly  for I dislike hearing his voice”

 

Answer

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Jabir (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

(Al Mu’jamul Awsat, Hadith: 8437, Maktabatul Ma’arif edition and Kitabud Du’a, Hadith: 87)

 

‘Allamah Haythami (rahimahullah) has declared one of the narrators very weak.
