Is this narration authentic?

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Richness is not having many belongings, but richness is contentment of the soul”

Answer

Imams Bukhari and Muslim (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). The Hadith is therefore authentic.

صحيح مسلم:
(١٠٥١) – حدثنا زهير بن حرب، وابن نمير قالا: حدثنا سفيان بن عيينة، عن أبي الزناد، عن الأعرج، عن أبي هريرة، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «ليس الغنى عن كثرة العرض، ولكن الغنى غنى النفس».
