What is status of following Hadith?

عن عائشة أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل عليها وامرأة تعالجها أو ترقيها فقال عالجيها بكتاب الله

 

Answer

Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has declared this Hadith authentic.

(Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 6098)

Translation

Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) relates, “Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) once entered and a woman was treating her or reciting something [to treat her]. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, ‘Treat her with the Book of Allah.”’

 

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.

صحيح ابن حبان:
(٦٠٩٨) – أخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان، حدثنا محمود بن غيلان، حدثنا أبو أحمد الزبيري، حدثنا سفيان، عن يحيى بن سعيد، عن عمرة، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها: «أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل عليها وامرأة تعالجها أو ترقيها، فقال: «عالجيها بكتاب الله».
قال أبو حاتم: قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «عالجيها بكتاب الله» أراد عالجيها بما يبيحه كتاب الله، لأن القوم كانوا يرقون في الجاهلية بأشياء فيها شرك، فزجرهم بهذه اللفظة عن الرقى، إلا بما يبيحه كتاب الله دون ما يكون شركا.
