What is the authenticity of this narration?

إن لهذا الدين إقبالا وإدبارا، ألا وإن من إقبال هذا الدين أن تفقه القبيلة بأسرها حتى لا يبقى إلا الفاسق، والفاسقان ذليلان فيها، إن تكلما قهرا واضطهدا، وإن من إدبار هذا الدين، أن تجفو القبيلة بأسرها، فلا يبقى إلا الفقيه والفقيهان، فهما ذليلان إن تكلما قهرا واضطهدا، ويلعن آخر الأمة أولها، ألا وعليهم حلت اللعنة حتى يشربوا الخمر علانية حتى تمر المرأة بالقوم، فيقوم إليها بعضهم، فيرفع بذيلها كما يرفع بذنب النعجة، فقائل يقول: يومئذ ألا وار منها وراء الحائط، فهو يومئذ فيهم مثل أبي بكر وعمر فيكم، فمن أمر يومئذ بالمعروف، ونهى عن المنكر فله أجر خمسين ممن رآني، وآمن بي وأطاعني وتابعني

Answer

Imam Tabarani (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) with an extremely weak chain.

(Al Mu’jamul Kabir, Hadith: 7807. Refer: Majma’uz Zawaid, vol. 7, pg. 261/262 and vol. 7, pg. 272)

The gist of the Hadith in question is as follows:

At the time of fitnah, when alcohol is drunk openly and other vices are widespread, those who enjoin good and forbid evil will receive the reward of fifty Sahabah and he will be like how Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna ‘Umar were among other Sahabah (radiyallahu ‘anhum).

The part of the Hadith that promises the reward of fifty Sahabah (radiyallahu ‘anhum) is sufficiently supported by another reliable Hadith. See here. The other parts also have broader support from other narrations. The Hadith is suitable to quote.
