Question

Is this true?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said to the effect: “The world is three days: One day to come, one day to stay and one day to go.”

Answer

I have not come across this as a Hadith of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam).

A similar narration is recorded as the statement of Hasan Al Basri (rahimahullah).

Hasan Al Basri (rahimahullah) said: “The world is three days: As for yesterday, it has vanished along with all that came with it. As for tomorrow, you may never see it and as far as today is concerned, that’s what’s yours, so work in it”

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
