What is the explanation of “firasah” and is the Hadith “Beware the firasah of a believer” suitable to quote?

This Hadith is recorded in Sunan Tirmidhi and is suitable to quote. See here

“Firasah” means foresight or intuition which is basically of two types:

1) Inspiration which Allah Ta’ala places into the hearts of His chosen servants. Through this, they are able to ascertain the condition/state/intentions of people.

2) Knowledge [about people’s states/conditions/intentions] which is achieved through experience by looking at the lives and conduct of people.

(Tuhfatul Ahwadhi, Hadith: 3127)

Based on the first explanation, we can understand that this type is not earned, rather it is a gift from the side of Allah Ta’ala which He bestows upon whom He wishes.

سنن الترمذي:
(٣١٢٧) – حدثنا محمد بن إسماعيل، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن أبي الطيب، قال: حدثنا مصعب بن سلام، عن عمرو بن قيس، عن عطية، عن أبي سعيد الخدري، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «اتقوا فراسة المؤمن فإنه ينظر بنور الله»، ثم قرأ: {إن في ذلك لآيات للمتوسمين}، «هذا حديث غريب، إنما نعرفه من هذا الوجه، وقد روي عن بعض أهل العلم في تفسير هذه الآية: {إن في ذلك لآيات للمتوسمين} قال: للمتفرسين.

تحفة الأحوذي:
(٣١٢٧) – قوله: «اتقوا فراسة المؤمن» الفراسة بالكسر، اسم من قولك: تفرست في فلان الخير، وهي على نوعين، أحدهما: ما دل عليه ظاهر الحديث، وهو ما يوقعه الله في قلوب أوليائه فيعلمون بذلك أحوال الناس بنوع من الكرامات وإصابة الحدس والنظر والظن والتثبت.
والنوع الثاني: ما يحصل بدلائل التجارب والخلق والأخلاق تعرف بذلك أحوال الناس أيضا.
