Question

Kindly translate the following du’a which is to be recited after Adhan:

اللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ الصَّادِقَةِ المُسْتَجَابَةِ المُسْتَجَاب لَهَا دَعْوَة الْحَقِّ، وَكَلِمَةِ التَّقْوَى، أَحْيِنَا عَلَيْهَا وَأَمِتْنَا عَلَيْهَا، وَابْعَثْنَا عَلَيْهَا، وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنْ خِيَارِ أَهْلِهَا أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا

Whoever is involved in any difficulty or hardship should wait for the time of the Adhan. After replying to the Adhan he should recite the above du’a. Thereafter he should make du’a for the fulfillment of his need.

 

Answer

Translation

O Allah! The Rabb of this true answered call, the call of truth which is answered/responded to and the words of Taqwa [mentioned in the Adhan], allow us to live and die upon these words, resurrect us upon these words and make us the best whether dead or alive
