Question
What is the status of this narration?
Answer
Shaykh Shihabud Din, Abul Fath Al Abshihi (rahimahullah) has cited this narration and has referenced it to Shifaus Sudur of Ibn Sab’ (rahimahullah).
(Al Mustatraf, vol. 2 pg. 474)
I have not come across the chain of narrators nor have I come across this narration in any other primary source and could therefore not verify the authenticity.
The first part of the narration has been recorded by Imam Ibn ‘Adiy (rahimahullah) and others and is suitable to quote. Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever wishes to meet Allah in a condition that Allah is pleased with him, then he should send abundant salutations [durud] upon me.”
(Al Kamil, vol. 7 pg. 324)
‘Allamah Sakhawi (rahimahullah) has declared this chain [The Hadith of Sayyidah ‘Aaishah radiyallahu ‘anha] weak.
(Al Qawlul Badi’, pg. 267)
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
