Please check the authenticity of the following Hadith:

Jibril (‘alayhis salam) once came to Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and said, “Allah has given me the knowledge to count every leaf on earth, every fish in the sea, every star in the sky and every particle of sand on earth, but there’s only one thing I cannot count. Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) asked Jibril (‘alayhis salam) “What is that?” Jibril (‘alayhis salam) replied, “When one of your Ummah recites salutations [durud] on you, the amount of blessings Allah Ta’ala showers upon him becomes impossible for me to count.” Tirmidhi

I have not come across this narration in Sunan Tirmidhi nor in other books of Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah). The narration should not be quoted until it can be sourced and then verified.

There are many authentic rewards for sending salutations upon Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) which should be quoted instead.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
