ما من امرئ تكون له صلاة بليل فيغلبه عليها نوم إلا كتب له أجر صلاته وكان نومه عليه صدقة

Imams Nasai and Abu Dawud (rahimahumallah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha).

(Sunan Nasai; Al Mujtaba, Hadith: 1784, Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 1308)

Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Any person who [usually] offers Salah at night [tahajjud], [but on a certain night] is overpowered by sleep, will certainly will receive the reward of [the tahajjud] Salah [for that night] and his sleep will be a sadaqah [from Allah].”
