دخلت جارية على عائشة وفي رجلها جلاجل في الخلخال، فقالت عائشة: أخرجوا عني مفرقة الملائكة

 

Answer

This narration is recorded in Musannaf ‘Abdur Razzaq.

(Musannaf ‘Abdur Razzaq, Hadith: 19699)

Imam Abu Dawud (rahimahullah) has recorded the following corroborating narration:

“A young girl once entered upon Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) who was wearing anklets that were tingling [due to having bells].’ Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) said, ‘Do not allow her in unless the bells are removed.’ She further said, I heard Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) say, ‘The angels do not enter a house in which there is a bell.'”

(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 4228)

The narration in question is corroborated and suitable to quote.

Translation

A slave girl entered upon Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) wearing anklets that had bells in them. Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) said, “Remove from me the thing that chases away the angels!”

(١٩٦٩٩) – أخبرنا عبد الرزاق، عن معمر، قال: سمعت رجلا يحدث هشام بن عروة، قال: دخلت جارية على عائشة، وفي رجلها جلاجل في الخلخال، فقالت عائشة: أخرجوا عني مفرقة الملائكة.

سنن أبي داود:
(٤٢٢٨) – حدثنا محمد بن عبد الرحيم، حدثنا روح، حدثنا ابن جريج، عن بنانة، مولاة عبد الرحمن بن حسان الأنصاري، عن عائشة، قالت: بينما هي عندها إذ دخل عليها بجارية وعليها جلاجل يصوتن، فقالت: لا تدخلنها علي إلا أن تقطعوا جلاجلها، وقالت: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: «لا تدخل الملائكة بيتا فيه جرس».
