Salah takes a person halfway along the path
Fasting takes him to the Kings door
Charity takes him by the hand and enters him into the king’s court.

Answer

Hafiz Ibn Rajab al Hambali (rahimahullah) has cited this as the statement of a pious predecessor. The statement may be quoted as such.

A pious predecessor said: “Salah takes a person halfway along the path, fasting allows him to reach the king’s door and charity then grabs him by the hand and enters him into the King’s court.”
