Question

Is this Hadith authentic and could you please provide the Arabic text?

“When the servant of one of you has endured heat and smoke preparing his food for him, then let him take him by the hand and make him sit him down with him. If he refuses, then let him take a morsel and feed him with it.”

Answer

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded the Hadith in question and has declared it authentic (hasanun sahih).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “When your helper [regardless of whether he is a slave or not] has endured the heat and smoke preparing food for any one of you, then he should take his hand and make him sit  with him. If not then he should at least take a morsel and feed him.”
