Question
I’ve heard of a narration that ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) narrates that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) kept mentioning Khadijah (radiyallahu ‘anha) so she (‘Aishah) made a remark about her, and the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then confessed that Allah Ta’ala did not give him (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) better than Khadija (radiyallahu ‘anha).

Answer
Sayyidatuna ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) says:
“I never felt self honour (ghayrah) for any woman like I felt for Sayyidatuna Khadijah, although I never saw her. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would speak a lot about her. Sometimes after slaughtering a goat, he would send portions to her friends. I once said to him: ‘It seems as if there was no other woman in this world other than Khadijah?!’
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) (affectionately remembering her love) would say:
“Indeed she was [unique etc], indeed she was. I had my children with her.”
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 3818)
In other narrations Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) elaborated more on her merits saying:
“She believed in me when the people disbelieved. She testified in me when they denied me, she assisted me financially when others deprived me and Allah Ta’ala granted me children from her and not from other women.”
(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 6, pg. 118, also see Fathul Bari, Hadith: 3818)
In a narration of Sahih Muslim, He (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “I have been endowed with love for her.”
(Sahih Muslim)
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
