The Book Dhari’atul Wusul

Dhari’atul Wusul ila Janabir Rasul is a collection of various forms of durud compiled in Persian by ‘Allamah Makhdoom Muhammad Hashim Sindhi (rahimahullah) [Demise: 1174 A.H.]. It includes Hadiths of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), but it is not restricted to Hadith.

In his introduction, the author mentions that he has included some forms of durud reported in weak narrations. The book also contains forms reported in dreams and those transmitted from the Sahabah, Tabi’un, ‘Ulama and pious predecessors.

Therefore, a blanket ruling on the authenticity of everything quoted from this book is not possible. Each narration must be examined individually.

It should also be noted that a form of salutation does not have to be recorded in Hadith for its recitation to be permissible. If the meaning is correct, it may be recited without regarding that particular wording as Sunnah and without attaching any additional virtues to it, over and above the general rewards for reciting durud.
