Question

“I have never seen anyone who shows arrogance toward those beneath him, except that Allah afflicts him with humiliation before those above him.”-Ibn Hibban

I was unable to find this in Sahih Ibn Hibban. Can you provide the reference, please?

Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has mentioned this in his book, Rawdatul ‘Uqala. He writes:

“I have never seen anyone act arrogantly toward those below him except that Allah disgraces him by those above him.”

(Rawdatul ‘Uqala, pg. 62)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
