Question

Is this Hadith Qudsi authentic?

Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Allah has revealed to me, ‘You should show humility to the extent that neither one considers himself superior to others nor oppresses others.'”

Answer

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna ‘Iyad ibn Himar (radiyallahu ‘anhu).

The Hadith is therefore authentic.

(٢٨٦٥) – عن عياض بن حمار أخي بني مجاشع، قال: قام فينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ذات يوم خطيبا، فقال: «إن الله أمرني» وساق الحديث بمثل حديث هشام، عن قتادة، وزاد فيه «وإن الله أوحى إلي أن تواضعوا حتى لا يفخر أحد على أحد، ولا يبغي أحد على أحد».
