Is Thumamah ibn ‘Uqbah a reliable narrator of Hadith? I have read that Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) reported his Hadith in Al Adabul Mufrad and Imam Nasai (rahimahullah) has classified him as trustworthy. Is this true?

Yes, this is correct.

Imams Yahya ibn Mai’n and Nasai (rahimahumallah) have declared Thumamah ibn ‘Uqbah Al Muhallimi reliable (thiqah). Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has also declared him reliable.

Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has reported his Hadith in Al Adabul Mufrad.

قال إسحاق بن منصور، عن يحيى بن معين: ثقة. وكذلك قال النسائي.
روى له البخاري في «الأدب» حديثا، والنسائي حديثا، وقد وقع لنا حديث النسائي عاليا.
