Can you provide the reference for this narration?

“The reward for expenditure that is multiplied by seven hundred times is the expenditure of a man on himself and his family”

Answer

Imams Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah and Ibn Abid Dunya (rahimahumallah) have recorded this narration as the statement of the Tabi’i, Imam Sha’bi’; Amir ibn Sharahil (rahimahullah).

Sha’bi (rahimahullah) said: “The expenditure of  man on himself and his family is among those expenditures [the rewards of which] are multiplied seven hundredfold.”

(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah: 27178, Kitabul ‘iyal: 505)
