Question

I am looking for information regarding the status of the Hadith narrator Yazid ibn Talq.

Is he a reliable narrator? I saw his narration in Sunan Ibn Majah.

Yazid’s ibn Talq narrations appear in Sunan Nasai and Sunan Ibn Majah. There is a difference of opinion regarding his credibility.

He has been declared slightly credible by Imam Daraqutni (يعتبر به) and Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has declared him reliable (ثقة). ‘Allamah Dhahabi (rahimahullah) has declared him slightly weak (ليّن) and Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) has stated that he is unknown (مجهول).
