Answer

The full Hadith is as follows:

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Who among you considers the wealth of his heir dearer to him than his own wealth?” They answered, ‘O Rasulullah! There is none among us except that he loves his own wealth more.’ Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then said, ‘His [true] wealth is what he has sent ahead [good deeds/wealth spent in good causes] and the wealth of his heir is what he leaves.'”
