Question
I would like to ask regarding the authenticity of the following narration:
‘Ali ibn Abi Talib said: “The cursers are cursed.”
Answer
Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration in Al Adabul Mufrad. The narrators are acceptable.
Sayyiduna ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said: “Those who curse will be cursed,” Marwan ibn Mu’awiyah, one of the narrators of this, explains that ‘those who curse’ refers to those who curse people.
(Al Adabul Mufrad: 315)
