Turning away one’s gaze from a strange woman

What is the reference of this Hadith and can it be quoted?

Sayyiduna Jarir ibn ‘Abdillah Al Bajali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported: “I asked Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) regarding the sudden glance [on a strange woman]. He commanded me that I should turn away my gaze.”

Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith in his Sahih. The Hadith is therefore authentic and may be quoted.

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2159)

This Hadith explains that a person will not be sinful for casting an unintentional gaze towards a strange woman. However, if he looks for a second time or prolongs the first gaze, he will be sinful.

(Refer: Sahih Muslim with Al Minhaj of ‘Allamah Nawawi, Hadith: 5609)
