Question

For a Hadith to be classed as Sahih li ghayrihi, does the supporting narration need to be Hasan or can it also be supported by Sahih li dhatihi?

 

Answer

It can also be supported by a Sahih li dhatihi. This is clear from the examples that are quoted for this issue.
