Is this authentic?
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Allah will not speak to nor will he look [with mercy] at the person who takes a false oath that he has been offered more for his goods than he has actually been offered.”
This is part of a longer narration recorded in Sahih Bukhari on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
The Hadith is therefore authentic.
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 2369 and 7446. Also see: Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 7212 and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 108)
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
