Question
Was Farwah ibn Nawfal Al Ashja’i a Sahabi?
Answer
There is a difference of opinion among the scholars regarding Farwah ibn Nawfal Al Ashja’i. Some scholars have mentioned that he was a Sahabi. However, Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) and other scholars have stated that the correct view is that he was a Tabi’i and his father, Nawfal (radiyallahu ‘anhu) was a Sahabi.
