Question

Is the following Hadith authentic?

“Allah does not accept the fard and nafl ‘ibadah of three people; One disobedient to his parents, one who reminds others of his favours and one who rejects taqdir”

Answer

Imam Ibn Abi ‘Asim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith in Kitabus Sunnah on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). ‘Allamah Mundhiri has declared the chain of narrators as sound (hasan)

وعن أبي أمامة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «ثلاثة لا يقبل الله عز وجل منهم صرفا ولا عدلا: عاق، ولا منان، ومكذب بقدر».
رواه ابن أبي عاصم في كتاب السنة بإسناد حسن، وتقدم في شرب الخمر حديث أبي هريرة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «أربع حق على الله أن لا يدخلهم الجنة، ولا يذيقهم نعيمها: مدمن الخمر، وآكل الربا، وآكل مال اليتيم بغير حق، والعاق لوالديه». رواه الحاكم، وقال: صحيح الإسناد.
