Question

Please mention the Hadith and reference for the narration regarding one of the wives of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) requesting permission to go out in battle. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “The best battle for you is Hajj”

Answer

Ummul Mu’minin Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) once said, “‘O Rasulullah! May we go out in battle with you?’. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) replied, ‘The best and most excellent battle for you is Hajj, an accepted Hajj’. Sayyidah ‘Aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) says, ‘After hearing this from Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), I will not abandon Hajj’”

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 1861, 1520)
